With more than 40 years of progressive safety leadership experience, Rick works with senior leadership to design and execute strategic culture and safety change initiatives.
He is also an accomplished safety leadership coach who routinely works with managers through the C-Suite helping them achieve their organizational strategies and personal goals. Rick has coached hundreds of leaders in organizations ranging from domestic railroads, utilities, aviation, construction and mining.
Currently Rick is leading a multi-year initiative with a major airline focusing on cultural alignment and reducing exposures for all employees. He is also providing senior leadership coaching and safety governance guidance.
Prior to joining DEKRA, Rick was the Managing Director of safety management and asset protection for Michelin Tire NA Inc. Before assuming that role, he held a variety of operational positions up to and including General Manager.
Rick is a current member of the American Society of Safety Professionals and the National Safety Council. He is also a certified Zenger-Miller facilitator
Rick holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Ivan Curry School of Engineering at Acadia University.
