Day 1 of this course will cover the background associated with a well-managed Business Continuity Management System, the rational and business benefits associated with successful implementation and the first steps associated with a well-managed project that achieves successful outcomes. Day 2 will cover the detailed project steps associated with integrating and completing the Business Continuity project within your organization. The end result of the two-day course will be a documented project plan that can be understood within your organization and will provide opportunities for people within your organization to provide inputs and ideas.
Format & Requirements
This is a two-day, virtual, instructor-led course presented from 8:00am-4:30pm daily (Central Time). All attendees are required to bring their own copy of the ISO 22301 Business Continuity Standard. Copies will not be provided for you.
Course Objectives
Describe the ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) -Requirements for that meet the unique needs of your organization including any associated Regulatory Requirements that are unique to your business, its products or services
Identify Business Continuity terms
Describe the intent and requirements of ISO 22301:2019
Determine the evidence needed to demonstrate conformity to ISO 22301:2019
Apply the process approach and Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodology
Describe the relationship between ISO 22301 and applicable regulatory requirements
Apply the principles, processes, and methods of implementing a Business Continuity Management System
Demonstrate the activities involved in a Business Continuity Management System
Determine an effective implementation plan that fits the context of the organization’s unique needs
Establish and plan the BCMS implementation plan
Manage the BCMS implementation process
Prepare the BCMS implementation plan to the organization that will implement it
