In order to meet the unique requirements of the aerospace industry for the safe operation of aircraft, the AS9110 standard was developed for maintenance organizations as part of the AS9100 series. AS9110 is the definitive, globally-recognized standard for reliable quality management for all civil and military aerospace organizations involved in maintenance, repair, and overhaul.
Companies certified to AS9110 are included in the international online database OASIS (Online Aerospace Supplier Information System) of the IAQG (International Aerospace Quality Group). The certification is recognized across the aerospace industry and is increasingly required for partnerships.
The core of the standard is the review of documentation, processes, and performance of quality management systems, tailored to the specific needs of the aerospace and defense industries. This may include risk analyses to identify and evaluate internal and external risks. There is a strong focus on sustainable continual improvement and increased competitiveness.
