Atlanta, GA

Polestar has chosen DEKRA’s Quality Compliance and Risk Evaluation ( QCARE ) solution to manage and scale its U.S. Certified Collision Program, creating a united approach to audits, tools and equipment compliance, and technician training delivered at the I-CAR Campus in Chicago. The program currently supports more than 32 certified locations, with plans to nearly double the network in 2026.
Under the leadership of Chris Evans, Certified Collision Program Manager for Polestar North America, the Collision Program was designed and implemented to streamline operations. This initiative utilizes QCARE’s cloud-based platform to centralize various program functions. It brings together OEM standards, audit scheduling and reporting, calibrated tools and equipment tracking, training, and action item management—empowering Polestar and its partners to be “audit-ready” every day.
QCARE gives us a single, real-time view of collision readiness across the country,” said Evans. “From EV-specific tooling traceability to technician training and repair quality audits, we now have a consistent, data-driven foundation to grow our certified network responsibly in 2026.”
Polestar is building a collision ecosystem that matches the sophistication of its vehicles,” said Gabriel Morley, Associate VP, DEKRA Services Inc.With QCARE, certified shops spend less time chasing paperwork and more time repairing vehicles safely and correctly. We’re excited to support Polestar’s next phase of network expansion.”
Program Highlights
  • Single Source of Truth: Polestar standards, documentation, and program communications are centralized in QCARE for all certified shops.
  • Audit Management: Digital pre-audits, on-site audits, and corrective actions with automated reminders and evidence capture; trend dashboards for Polestar field teams.
  • Tools & Equipment Compliance: EV-critical tools, ADAS calibration devices, and fixtures tracked with model-specific requirements, calibration/maintenance intervals, and proof-of-readiness.
  • Training & Credentials: Role-based training plans with compliance tracking at shop and network levels. All certified centers must maintain I-CAR Gold Class status and complete Polestar’s five-day, hands-on I-CAR campus training in Chicago—ensuring technicians are prepared for advanced EV structural repair and high-voltage safety.
  • Data & Insights: Network-wide KPIs on audit performance, equipment readiness, training currency, and cycle-time drivers to inform quality and capacity decisions.
Early Impact (U.S. Network)
  • 32+ certified collision locations live; targeting ~60+ in 2026
  • 90% on-time audit closure (corrective actions completed within standard timeframes)
  • Significant reduction in tooling non-conformities through proactive calibration & maintenance alerts
  • Higher training currency across EV structural repair and high-voltage safety modules
Scaling a premium EV collision program requires precision and predictability,” added Evans. “QCARE’s shop-friendly workflows and OEM-grade controls let us expand without compromising quality.”
