OHSAS 18001 Certification: Occupational Health & Safety

OHSAS 18001 Has Been Replaced By ISO 45001
A new international management system standard, ISO 45001, was released in 2018 and now supersedes previous occupational health and safety standards, including OHSAS 18001.

About OHSAS 18001

OHSAS 18001 was an occupational health and safety standard with a framework designed to enable organizations to control risks, ensure legal compliance, and improve performance related to occupational health and safety (OH&S). In March 2018, the transition to a newer standard, ISO 45001 , began.
Occupational health & safety management is an essential component for many businesses, helping to prevent workplace injuries and minimize costs. The new ISO 45001:2018 standard allows for even more efficiencies: by using the same high-level structure as many other ISO standards (including ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management ), the management system can be easily integrated with these common certifications. Third-party certification by DEKRA demonstrates your organization’s dedication to an effective and comprehensive management system for ensuring employees' health and safety.
