Holger Ewald Appointed CIO at DEKRA
Holger Ewald (51) will start as the new Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the global expert organization DEKRA SE on December 1, 2019. Ewald, a graduate mechanical engineer with a focus on aerospace technology, software development and international project management, has over 20 years of global leadership experience with strong links to IT.
He spent many years working as the CIO at leading companies (KUKA and Deutsche Bahn subsidiary DB Netz) and was selected CIO of the year in Germany in 2014 – an accolade awarded by the two magazines CIO and Computerwoche. Recently, he established the consulting company RobotX Digital Ventures.
“We are delighted that we were able to secure Mr. Ewald, a renowned expert, for the role of CIO,” said Stefan Kölbl, Chairman of the Board of Management of DEKRA e.V. and DEKRA SE. “As the head of global IT, he will play a key role in taking the ongoing digitalization of business processes to a new level.”
