Change in the Management Board at DEKRA

Roland Gerdon (56), member of the Management Board of DEKRA e.V. and DEKRA SE, will leave the company at the end of his mandate on May 16, 2018. In line with his personal plans, the Management Board member responsible for HR, Finance and IT decided at an early stage not to renew his contract. Roland Gerdon will stay connected with DEKRA. His successor will be Thomas Müllerschön (49), previously Chairman of the Management Board of Uzin Utz AG in Ulm.

The President of the Presidential Council of DEKRA e.V. and Chairman of the DEKRA SE Supervisory Board, Thomas Pleines, regrets the decision and thanks Roland Gerdon “for his outstanding achievements”. He adds: “Over the 14 years he has been working on the Management Board, DEKRA has grown continuously and profitably. Revenues and employee numbers tripled over this period, while profitability increased sixfold.”

Stefan Kölbl, Chairman of the Management Board of DEKRA e.V. and DEKRA SE, adds: “I would like to thank Roland Gerdon personally for his successful work over his 20 years in total at DEKRA, including 14 years on the Management Board. His specialist knowledge and commitment are outstanding. We will lose a respected colleague.”

His successor, Thomas Müllerschön, will take up the role as of May 17, 2018. Thomas Müllerschön is moving from Uzin Utz AG in Ulm. He was appointed to this company’s Management Board in 2002 and has been its Chairman since 2016. “With his many years of management experience, Mr. Thomas Müllerschön is ideally suited to sustainably advance DEKRA’s continued development. We look forward to working with him,” says Presidential Council and Supervisory Board Chairman Thomas Pleines.
